King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard is a band of eclectic psych-rock juggernauts that continually deliver albums that push the envelope. As part of the band’s bootlegger series in which the group gives the public free rein to release selected works, we are happy to present a Salton-Sea Exclusive of "Teenage Gizzard" .

“Teenage Gizzard” is the group at their rawest, letting loose with a scrappy, lo-fi energy that’s all grit and groove. The album’s a time capsule of the band’s earliest days, a collection of tracks pulsing with surfy, psyched-out beats and catchy, no-frills riffs. Here, you’ll find their debut EP Anglesea, those first self-released singles, and even an unreleased gem - each song a piece of their musical DNA. There’s a playful urgency in this set, where you can almost feel the sweat of their garage roots. This isn’t the polished chaos of later Gizz albums; it’s a snapshot of the band before the world got in on the ride, when they were just some scrappy guys chasing down rock ’n’ roll euphoria.
